What do I have to do?

GuildSuper has been named in the Pharmacy Industry Award and the Animal Care and Veterinary Services Award.

So, if you employ staff under these Awards, and

  • currently use GuildSuper as your default fund. You don't need to do anything at all. You can continue to pay your employer contributions to GuildSuper for all of your current and future employees.
  • don't currently use GuildSuper as your default fund. You may like to consider choosing GuildSuper as your default.

If you are not already registered with GuildSuper

    1. Register by completing an Employer Application Form (includes PDS).
    2. Change the Choice of Superannuation Fund form you give your new employees to show GuildSuper as your default fund. Then, if they don't choose their own fund, you can pay their contributions to GuildSuper.
    3. Give all your current employees who wish to join GuildSuper the GuildSuper Choice of Superannuation Fund form for them to sign and return to you. You keep this form for your records.

Can you still contribute to GuildSuper if your industry's modern award doesn't specifically name GuildSuper?

YES. There are two ways you can do this.

  1. If you’ve contributed to GuildSuper at any time prior to 12 September 2008 you can nominate the Fund as your default fund and continue to pay to the Fund for your current and future employees.

Just provide your new employees with a GuildSuper Choice of Superannuation Fund form when they start working for you. If they don't choose their own fund, you can then pay their contributions to GuildSuper.

Click here to speak to your local Superannuation Consultant to have them help you make the arrangements.

  2. If you started contributing to GuildSuper after 12 September 2008 you can still contribute for current and future employees so long as each employee completes a Choice of Superannuation Fund Form indicating they would like you to pay their superannuation contributions to the Fund.
